Runtime Error 75, Path/File Access Error

Check to see if any of the application's files or folders are marked as read-only.

 


Runtime Error 339, msadod.ocx or dependency is not correctly registered

If you are running a local install or on a network client install, it may not have installed properly. Uninstall and reinstall, making sure to be logged on as an administrator. If trying to access the program at the server from a PC, you may not have the network client install on your PC, which will cause this error.

 


Runtime Error 429, Active X Component

Upgrade MDAC or install Jet 4.0 depending on OS.

Runtime Error 3704, Cannot Create Object

If running Windows 95, you need MDAC SP2.5. If it says its missing a help dll file, contact us for assistance at: 808-891-0099 or email:
webmail@globalip.com. If you are using another Windows version, upgrade to latest MDAC. Click here for more information on upgrading.

 


Runtime Error 3706, Provider Not Found

Upgrade MDAC or install Jet 4.0 depending on OS.

Operation must use an Updatable Query

Check to see if any of the application's files or folders are marked as read-only.

 


The instruction at 0x....." referenced memory at "0x.....". The memory could not be "read"

Please go to the application folder of the program and email us the log.gip file, along with the error message you are receiving.

Cannot find the file INSTMSIA

Download and install the latest Windows Installer file located at:
Microsoft Support Windows Installer

 


Cannot find path ../gipuser.mdb or other database file

Reinstall update and make sure no one is using the program. If the problem persists, check that the following four databases exist in the Application/Database folder:
gipdata.mdb, gipuser.mdb, gipuser2.mdb, gipuser_base.mdb

 


Runtime Error 3704, Operation not allowed when the object is closed

Update was installed to the wrong folder, or the installation was interrupted. Uninstall the monthly update by going into your Windows/Control Panels and choosing Add/Remove Programs. Select the item Global IP Estimator Monthly Update to remove. Do not remove the original installation called Global IP Estimator. If the computer does not allow you to do this for security reasons, then rerun the update and when it offers the choice to Modify/Repair/Remove, choose Remove. You may then reinstall the update. Make sure that you choose the correct application folder when installing.

 


The feature you are trying to use is not on a network resource that is available

First download the Windows Installer Cleanup (
Microsoft Support Windows Installer Cleanup) and run this program. Use it to remove only the Global IP Estimator Monthly Update. Do not remove the original installation called Global IP Estimator. The next step is to clear out items you can delete from both the Windows/Downloaded Installations and Windows/Temp folders, and then restart the computer.

 


Runtime Error 3265, Item could not be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal

Usually happens when database (usually gipdata) is not of the same month as the executable. Delete gipdata.mdb and then rerun the update choosing Repair.

Runtime Error 9, Subscript out of range

Excel needs to be configured to start up with at least 3 sheets in a new workbook. To configure, in Excel choose Tools/Options and click on the "General" tab. Ensure that "Sheets In New Workbook" is set to at least 3.

Error 713, Application-defined or Object-defined error when running report from reports menu, and the program freezes

Download both crviewer.dll and craxdrt.all from here:

and follow the procedures on that page to place and register these files.

 


File crviewer.dll or one of its components is not properly registered when viewing reports from the Reports menu, causing the program to disappear.

and follow the procedures on that page to place and register this file. If the problem persists, you will need to reinstall the program making sure that you have full administrator rights.

With Windows XP, program registers and works, but it asks you to reregister on next use

Either an IT person with full Admin rights will need to finish the registration process, or the user will need to be given full administrator rights.

Getting a Report Log

Press the 9 key, and while pressing the key, start Global IP Estimator. Next, generate a sample report. Once the error occurs, close the program. Go into the application's folder, and you should find a file called "reporting.gip" which contains the report information. This file can be emailed to us at:

Getting a Startup Log

Press the number 0 key, and while pressing the key, start Global IP Estimator. Hold down this key until the program opens completely. You may then close down the program. Go into the application's folder, and you should find a file called "log.gip" which contains the startup information. This file can be emailed to us at:
webmail@globalip.com
